This large Snake Vine painting by Francis Kelly, was cherished and loved, given pride of place in my home... but due to life circumstances I have regretfully parted with it... It is now on display at Indigenu gallery... and available to find a new home, taking pride of place again for someone else to love and enjoy. (Previous Owner Mat).
Francis is a high profile Artist and Film-maker… Married to Indigenu Artist, Alice Granties. He is known for his work on the films “Bush Mechanics” and “Coniston”. He is also a long standing member of the Central Land Council, Holding the position of Chair for several years running. He was the 2011 winner of the Tudawali Award (Message Sticks Film Festival), in 1999 he won an AFI award for his work on Bush Mechanics, the Troy Albert award for Best Cinematography and the Preston Memorial Award for “Lifetime Achievement” from the Indigenous Remote Communications Association. Francis is a board member of iCTV (Indigenous Community TV) and was a founding member of NITV ( National Indigenous TV ). Apart from his significant contribution to media/tv and film, he is a talented painter, having produced many beautiful artworks.
