What a period it has been for Indigenu with both art and food being the core of what we are doing. Last month Indigenu catered for some 200 people with 900 portions of food from its catering menu. Orders are well secured for the NAIDOC week coming up shortly. It all went to plan, was well received and gratitude is extended to wonderful Brett and Nada who assisted a very grumpy Tony.
The recent visit of Anna Petyarre and her family Stephen, Mary and Joy bought lots of interest and activity to the gallery and many beautiful paintings found fine homes. There was also a flury of interest by international collectors with a large consignment going to Poland, England, New Zealand and Hongkong. Thank you to all who supported the artists and Indigenu. We hope your purchase represents good investment for the future. The sharing of Aboriginal stories and practices is helping keeping a wonderful rich culture alive and their wisdom appreciated.
The hot Indigenu news is that Coral Hayes Pananka has chosen to exhibit pieces here. they have been a real hit and appreciated by all who have walked through the doors with 2 selling within the first hour of exposure. It is a humbling and a privilege to have such works.
