How fast the year seems to roll on, maybe it's something that accelerates as we get older. Well the year has almost finished here at Indigenu. The years highlights could be the birth of Audrey's first baby Aroha, she was very anticipated and arrived safely into the world. A huge congratulations to Audrey as the proud mum and yes, Aroha is a gorgeous and healthy girl. Audrey's contribution to Indigenu has been enormous as usual and she has been a reliable element of the Indigenu business.
Meeting and working with Anna Petyarre has been an honour indeed and her paintings were a smash in 2012 but believe she will be down in the new year so we can anticipate some new and dynamic work to also arrive for 2013. To all the artists thank you again for your work and choosing Indigenu as a place where your work can sell. To all of you who have become friends and clients of Indigenu, without you it would have been a very grim year; I do hope to assist you with any advice or purchase as need dictates. I also acknowledge Indigenu's online clients who seem to know what they want and quietly e-purchase - I hope you are all enjoying your purchases. Without Louisa, this wouldn't have happened so a huge hug to you Lulu!
What has Indigenu got planned for 2013 - firstly a second year birthday party is overdue and it can also serve as a formal naming ceremony for Audrey's baby Aroha. Of course there will be the usual participation in the SALA festival with a featured artist, corporate engagement in NAIDOC and painting demonstrations. It is projected that Indigenu's Native Inspired Foods will also be launched and embraced.
As many of you know I returned to Italy to be with family and experience more of the Italian lifestyle. It was a sensational experience and so glad I took the opportunity. It was tough leaving the business for 5 weeks but gratefully there are people who are happy to take the reigns while away and for that I am very fortunate to have such friends. Thank you Tess and of course Matty and Alexi too!
