The Rock Solid exhibition opening was a lovely evening of wine, food, art and conversation. We are always grateful to have such wonderful patrons and enjoy your company each and every time, its lovely to see new faces and old friends. The entertainment did not fail to impress, busker and very talented piano accordion player Anna, played her little heart out to an appreciative crowd. Our guest speaker Anton Hart was eloquent and insightful. We were honored to have the company of several of the exhibiting artists including Alice Granites, her daughter Vivienne and Vivienne's 6 year old son Arik. Each generation was represented on the walls, highlighting the very family oriented nature of painting in Indigenous communities. For me it was a highlight to have the honour to award our lucky door prize winner, A back packer from Europe who is now the lucky owner of a wonderful artwork from the remote Indigenous community of Yuendumu.
